Round discharges can be fabricated in any diameter smaller than the trough diameter for mating with the next piece of equipment that the conveyor is discharging into.
A corresponding flange can also be fitted with the required bolt pattern.
The standard weld on discharge is available with a manual slide gate. This allows the product being conveyed to pass over and on to another discharge point.
Pneumatic and hydraulic slide gate discharges, for remotely controlled operation, have the same fixing bolt pattern as the standard square discharge and can be quickly installed on existing conveyors.
The swivel discharge has been developed and constructed to bolt directly to an existing square discharge.
A square to round adaptor section ensure maximum flow of material with vastly reduced areas for the conveyed product to “hang up”.
Revolving through 360º gives maximum scope for discharging to skips or other pieces of equipment.
SCL can fabricate non standard “discharges” to help resolve application issues such as height restrictions.
This picture shows one conveyor discharging directly into another conveyor of the same height. Troughs have been specially profiled and a fabricated “pup” joint welded directly to the side on the next traverse conveyor running at 90º to the first conveyor.
“Pup” joints can be fabricated to suit any desired angle.
Standard discharges are supplied in carbon steel and painted to the customer paint specification. Stainless steel options are available.

For safety reasons, the grating can be raised to increase the distance between the tip of the screw and the top of the grating. The grating panels can be quickly removed / installed, are very light weight, will not rust and allow full view of the contents of the trough. A power hose can directed towards any blockage without the need to remove the grating.
- Manual slide inlet gate
Side inlets – are equipped with a gate to furnish a means of regulating or stopping the inlet flow to relieve the conveyor screw from excessive material pressures. When using the side inlet, the screw rotation should be toward the inlet opening to assure a constant flow rate.
Round inlet spouts
Deflector plate inlets – used when materials fall vertically into the inlet creating the possibility of impact damage or abrasion to the screw conveyor. The rectangular inlet is equipped with deflector plates, or baffles, that dampen the impact of the material in order to feed the conveyor more gently.

Joystick controllers can be supplied to control individual pneumatic slide gate valves or supplied for multiple slide gate valve operation.
ATEX approved controllers are supplied in a stainless steel box and a complete installation service is available from SCL.
